El mapa
Mukilteo lies on the eastern shore of Puget Sound in Washington, just south-west of Everett. Its original settlement sits at a small point where the ferry terminal connects the mainland with Clinton on Whidbey Island. On a map, this point, the lighthouse beside it and the shoreline railway along the water form the town's western edge.
From the point, the land rises steeply, and the street network climbs into wooded hills with winding roads, cul-de-sacs and gullies. Further inland the city reaches toward Paine Field, the airport where Boeing assembles large aircraft. The Treaty of Point Elliott, signed in 1855 between the United States and several regional tribes, was concluded at this spot.
A Mukilteo map poster shows how terrain shapes a Pacific Northwest suburb. The Sound fills one side of the frame, the streets bend around ravines and slopes, and the ferry route extends out over the water toward the island.
The terminal at the small shoreline point links Mukilteo with Whidbey Island. The route across the water extends the map beyond the coast.
A historic lighthouse stands near the ferry landing, while a railway runs close along the water, drawing a firm line between the Sound and the town.
Inland, roads wind around wooded gullies and slopes, forming loops and cul-de-sacs rather than a straight grid.

Por qué Mukilteo
Mukilteo is the ferry town for many who commute to or from Whidbey Island, and home to families with a daily view of the Sound. A map poster captures the town's relationship with water and hills.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed, so the poster can mark a home, a wedding or a first ferry trip. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
