La carte
Babor Map Poster & Print
Babor is in Sétif province, in northeastern Algeria, in the Babor mountains, part of Lesser Kabylie. The town sits on hilly ground below the high peaks of the range. From above, the streets follow the slopes and ridges. The centre is compact, and houses spread along the roads that wind through the valleys and up the hillsides.
The mountains give the area its identity. Djebel Babor, one of the highest peaks in the range, has forests of cedar and fir. It is known as the place where the Algerian nuthatch, a small bird found almost nowhere else in the world, was discovered in 1975. On the map, the terrain explains everything: roads zigzag, settlements cling to ridges, and valleys cut deep lines.
A Babor map poster shows a town shaped entirely by mountains. It has no grid and few straight lines, only streets and roads that bend with the land. The result is a dynamic, organic image that looks especially good in Classic black and white.

Winding roads
Roads leading out of Babor twist through the mountains in tight bends. They are the most expressive lines on the map and fill the edges of the frame.
Djebel Babor
The high forested massif rises above the town. It is known for the Algerian nuthatch, a small bird that lives almost only in these mountain forests.
