The map

About this Ngaoundal map poster

Ngaoundal is located in the Adamawa Region of central Cameroon, on the high plateau between the forested south and the drier north. The town is a stop on the Trans-Cameroon Railway, and the railway line is one of the clearest features on its map, running through the settlement and shaping its layout.

The surrounding plateau is open country used for grazing and farming, and the region is known for its bauxite deposits, which have long drawn attention to the area. The town itself is organised around the station and main roads, with residential areas spreading outward.

A Ngaoundal map poster places the railway at the centre of the composition. The straight line of the tracks, the streets gathered around the station and the open plateau beyond create a print that tells the story of a town shaped by transport.
