Caçador Map Poster & Print
Caçador lies in the Rio do Peixe valley in western Santa Catarina, at a high altitude that gives it one of the cooler climates in southern Brazil. On a map the town follows the valley floor. The river bends through it, and the streets climb the slopes on either side, filling the flatter ground first and then thinning out toward forest and farmland.
The region has long been tied to timber and wood processing, and pine plantations and native araucaria forest shape the land around the town. Caçador is also closely linked to the memory of the Contestado War, the early twentieth-century conflict fought across this part of the southern plateau. The town keeps a museum dedicated to that history.
A Caçador map poster turns the valley into a clear drawing: a river line, the street grid holding onto it, and hillsides where the pattern loosens. The terrain shows even without contour lines, because the roads bend with the slopes. The result is calm and quite particular, a town clearly shaped by the ground under it.

Valley-floor centre
The densest streets sit on the flattest land near the river, forming a tight core that stands out clearly against the looser hillside neighbourhoods.
Forested edges
Around the town, roads give way to plantations and araucaria woodland, so the outer map fades into open space and frames the settlement.

Waarom Caçador
Een kaart met betekenis
Caçador on the wall can mean a hometown in the cold southern highlands, a family story from the Contestado region, or years spent in the timber trade. The river gives the print a clear line to follow, and the hills keep it from looking like any other grid.
Personalise the title, add a subtitle with a name or date, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
