Valley-floor centre
The main built area sits where the land levels out. On the map it forms the densest patch of streets, with open ground pressing in from the surrounding hills.

Xiaba Map Poster & Print
Xiaba is a town within Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country south of the main urban area. This part of south-western China is almost never flat. Ridges, terraced slopes and narrow valleys shape where roads can go, so the built area tends to follow valley floors and the lines of easier ground.
From above, the town reads as a concentrated cluster of streets with roads running out along the lowest paths between the hills. Around it, the pattern turns rural and irregular: small fields, scattered buildings and winding lanes shaped by the rise and fall of the land rather than by any plan drawn on paper.
A Xiaba map poster turns that terrain-led layout into a quiet graphic. The dense centre stands out against the looser rural network, and the curving roads hint at the hills even without contour lines. It is a modest, honest portrait of a small Chongqing town, drawn at a scale that makes its streets easy to recognise.

Terrain-led roads
Roads leaving the town twist and double back as they follow the slopes. Their curves give the poster a flowing, organic character.
Scattered rural lanes
Beyond the centre, thin lanes link small clusters of homes and fields, filling the edges of the frame with a light, irregular texture.
