Aoxi is a town in Jiangxi Province in southeastern China, set in the hilly country that covers much of the province's interior. From above, the built-up area sits in a valley, with streets following the flatter ground while the surrounding slopes remain covered in fields, woodland and scattered villages.
Like many Chinese county towns, Aoxi combines an older core of narrow lanes with newer roads and residential blocks added in recent decades. Main streets run along the valley and connect the town with the wider region, while smaller paths lead out toward the farmland and hamlets in the hills.
