Nalambūr, often spelled Nolambur, is a residential area in the west of Chennai, close to Mogappair and within the city's fast-growing western belt. On a map it looks like much of this part of the city: blocks of planned layouts with regular streets, each arranged around a few internal roads and connected outward to wider arterial routes.
Much of the area was farmland and open ground not long ago, and the street pattern reflects that recent change.
