The map
Orimattila is a town in Finland's Päijät-Häme region, south of Lahti. It lies in one of the country's more open agricultural landscapes. On the map, the town centre is compact and orderly, a river valley runs through the area, and wide stretches of farmland spread out around the settlement. Wooded ridges and scattered villages fill the rest of the frame.
The layout reflects a typical Finnish market town. Its small grid-like centre has a few main streets, and residential areas with low houses and gardens grow outward. Roads head north to Lahti and south toward the coast. Because fields are so prominent in the surrounding area, the map has more open space than many Finnish towns, which are usually boxed in by forest and lakes.
An Orimattila map poster shows a quiet, well-proportioned Finnish town with no distractions, only the relationship between the centre, the river valley and the farmland around it. The town is historically known for its wool mill, a long-standing local industry that helped shape Orimattila's growth in the 20th century.
The heart of the town is a small, neat cluster of streets. On the poster it forms a clear focal point amid the wider landscape.
A river winds through the area, following a shallow valley past the town. Its gentle curve contrasts with the straighter roads and field edges.
Wide fields surround Orimattila, which is unusual in largely forested Finland. The open land gives the print space and an airy, balanced composition.

Why Orimattila
For people from Päijät-Häme, or anyone with a summer place in the region, the map shows familiar ground: a tidy town, fields and river. The understated design fits naturally into a Nordic interior.
You can add a title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Finnish or English. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Classic black & white suits a Scandinavian room especially well.
