Danube floodplain edge
Dykes, woodland strips and old river arms along the southern side give the map a soft, irregular border. It contrasts with the straight lines of the fields and streets.

The map
Podunajské Biskupice sits on the southeastern edge of Bratislava, where the city runs out into the flat farmland of the Danubian Lowland. On a map, a compact old village street pattern sits beside the regular blocks of later housing estates. Beyond them, long field boundaries and drainage lines stretch toward the river. The borough covers a lot of open ground, and the drawing loosens noticeably as you move away from its centre.
The Danube shapes the southern side of the sheet. It stays mostly out of sight behind flood dykes, but you can follow it through the belts of floodplain woodland and the old side channels along its banks. To the north, the Little Danube branches away through the lowland. Between these two waters lie roads, rail lines and industrial land, drawn as broad, simple shapes that set off the finer residential streets.
Once a separate village, Podunajské Biskupice became part of Bratislava in the second half of the twentieth century. It still looks like a place in two halves, rural at the edges and urban at the core. A Podunajské Biskupice map poster shows that transition clearly: dense near the tram and bus routes toward the city, then opening into wide, pale lowland shaped by water.
Dykes, woodland strips and old river arms along the southern side give the map a soft, irregular border. It contrasts with the straight lines of the fields and streets.
The historic centre keeps the looser, curving street pattern of a lowland village. It is easy to pick out beside the more regular housing estates built around it.
Much of the borough is flat farmland cut into long parcels by tracks and drainage ditches. This gives the outer parts of the poster a calm, linear texture.
