The map
Pully lies on the northern shore of Lake Geneva, immediately east of Lausanne, in the canton of Vaud. From above, the town rises from the lakefront up a series of slopes, with streets following the contours and steep lanes connecting the upper neighbourhoods to the shore. The railway line cuts across the hillside in a long, gentle curve.
The town has a long history. Remains of a Roman villa, including rare wall paintings, have been preserved beneath the old centre. The writer Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz lived in Pully for many years, and the area around it marks the beginning of the terraced vineyards of Lavaux, which stretch east along the lake.
A Pully map poster captures the interplay between town, slope and water. The lake occupies a broad, calm area at the bottom of the composition, while the streets above it form a fine, layered pattern climbing the hillside. It is an elegant, balanced print that reflects the setting of this lakeside town.

Streets climb the slopes in curving lines, linked by steep lanes and stairs, giving the town a layered, terraced structure from above.
Beneath the old centre lie the preserved remains of a Roman villa with wall paintings, a reminder that this lakeside site has been inhabited for two thousand years.
