Contour streets
Many streets curve along the hillsides rather than following a straight grid, giving the map a flowing, layered texture typical of Andean towns.

The map
San Josecito is a town in the state of Táchira, in the Venezuelan Andes, close to the city of San Cristóbal. The terrain is mountainous, and the map reflects it immediately. Streets follow the contours of the slopes, the built area stretches along valley floors, and steep ground in the surrounding area remains open.
Its proximity to San Cristóbal means the town functions as part of the wider urban area of the Táchira capital, while keeping its own centre. The road connecting the two is an important axis on the map, and neighbourhoods have grown up along it and up the hillsides on either side.
A San Josecito map poster shows how the mountains shape everyday life. The curving streets draw soft lines against the stronger strokes of the main roads, and the empty slopes create natural margins. It is a calm, faithful portrait of an Andean town, designed for people who know its steep streets and cooler climate from experience.
Many streets curve along the hillsides rather than following a straight grid, giving the map a flowing, layered texture typical of Andean towns.
The connection to the state capital forms a clear axis. Neighbourhoods have spread out along it, linking the two places on the map.
Steep terrain around the town remains largely undeveloped, so the built area appears as a defined shape within the mountain landscape.
