The San River bend
The river curves around the town, and its wide meander gives the whole composition a strong natural outline. The streets on both banks follow its line.

The map
Sanok sits where the San River swings through the foothills of south-eastern Poland, and the map shows that curve before anything else. The old town stands on a rise above the water, with a compact market square and short lanes set against the steeper ground. Newer districts spread along the valley floor and up the surrounding slopes in looser, irregular patterns.
The castle on the escarpment houses the town's Historical Museum, known for its large collection of work by Zdzisław Beksiński, who was born in Sanok. Across the river, the Museum of Folk Architecture brings wooden buildings from the surrounding region together in an open-air village, one of the largest of its kind in Poland. On the map it appears as a small, widely spaced cluster beside the water.
A Sanok map poster keeps the relationship between river, hill and street in plain black lines. Industrial areas linked to the town's long bus-making tradition sit at the edges, the railway follows the valley, and the roads toward the Bieszczady mountains leave the frame to the south and east. The terrain shaped this town far more than any planner's grid did.
The river curves around the town, and its wide meander gives the whole composition a strong natural outline. The streets on both banks follow its line.
The historic centre sits on raised ground above the river. Its small market square and short, tightly packed streets contrast clearly with the looser districts below.
The Museum of Folk Architecture spreads relocated wooden churches, cottages and farm buildings across a riverside site. On the map it looks like a scattered, village-like pattern of paths.

Why Sanok
Sanok is often the last proper town people pass through before the Bieszczady, so its map means something to hikers, to families returning home and to anyone who grew up between the river and the hills. The poster keeps that geography simple enough to read from across a room.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a family name or a year, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download includes six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
