Open plateau setting
The town sits inside broad cultivated land, so the map shows a clear edge where tightly packed blocks give way to field tracks and scattered villages.

The map
Sarāb lies on a high, open plain in East Azerbaijan, roughly halfway between Tabriz and Ardabil. On a map the town is a tight knot of streets set into wide farmland. The main highway passes close by, and village roads and irrigation lines spread outward. To the north the ground climbs toward the slopes of Mount Sabalan, and to the south rise the Bozgush mountains.
Outside Iran the name is best known from Serab rugs, especially the long runners woven in the surrounding villages. Many are in natural camel tones with bold geometric medallions. The region is also known for cold winters and for the springs and streams that feed the plain. That water has long decided where fields and settlements sit.
A Sarāb map poster shows a town defined by its setting as much as by its streets. The dense centre, the orderly newer quarters and the fan of roads heading into open country make a balanced composition. The empty plain around it gives the drawing room to breathe. It is a quiet, graphic portrait of a place on the old routes of Iranian Azerbaijan.
The town sits inside broad cultivated land, so the map shows a clear edge where tightly packed blocks give way to field tracks and scattered villages.
The main road between Tabriz and Ardabil runs past the town. It draws a strong straight line across the sheet that anchors the rest of the street pattern.
Sabalan to the north and the Bozgush range to the south frame the plain. Sarāb sits in a natural corridor between two high massifs.
