The map

About this Satyāmangala map poster

Satyāmangala lies close to the city of Hassan in southern Karnataka, on the uplands of the Deccan Plateau. From above, it shows the pattern of a growing edge of a city: newer residential layouts with regular streets sit beside older roads and open fields. The land is gently rolling, so the street patterns can remain fairly regular while still bending in places to the terrain.

As in much of this part of Karnataka, the landscape includes tanks, the traditional reservoirs used for irrigation and water storage, which appear on maps as irregular water bodies among fields. Main roads link Satyāmangala to central Hassan, and the transition from denser neighbourhood blocks to agricultural land is clearly visible.

A Satyāmangala map poster captures that urban edge in precise black lines: planned layouts, connecting roads and open land beyond. It is a thoughtful keepsake for residents, for those who have moved away, or for anyone marking a new home in the Hassan area.
