Agboville lies north of Abidjan in southern Ivory Coast, on the Agnéby River. The town grew along the railway that runs from Abidjan toward Burkina Faso, and on a map the track and the river are the two lines that organise everything else. The region is green and fertile, with cocoa, coffee and other crops grown in the countryside around the town.
