Te mapa
Ambositra lies in the central highlands of Madagascar, on the RN7, the long national road that links Antananarivo with the south of the island. On the map the highway forms the spine of the town, and the streets branch off it into hillside neighbourhoods, with terraced paddies filling the valleys below.
The town is the capital of the Amoron'i Mania region and is widely known as a centre of woodcraft. Carving and marquetry workshops line its streets, and the nearby Zafimaniry communities are recognised by UNESCO for their woodcrafting knowledge.
An Ambositra map poster shows a compact town shaped by hills rather than a grid. Streets climb and curve with the land, the main road cuts clearly through the middle, and the surrounding countryside breaks into small fields and tracks that lead to villages in the forested hills.
Madagascar's main southern highway runs straight through Ambositra, a single strong line on the map that organises the town and connects it to Antsirabe and Fianarantsoa.
Away from the highway, Ambositra's streets wind up and around the slopes, giving the town an irregular, layered form typical of Malagasy highland settlements.
Ambositra is known across Madagascar for carving and marquetry, and it is the gateway to the Zafimaniry villages, whose woodcrafting tradition is listed by UNESCO.

Koteā ko Ambositra
Travellers on the RN7 often remember Ambositra as a stop among workshops and highland views, and those from the town carry its hills with them wherever they go. A map poster keeps that memory in a simple, lasting form.
Add a title, a date or the name of a journey in the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line if you like. Choose among five styles, from Classic black and white to warm Sand, as a digital file or printed poster.
