Te mapa
Nosy Boraha, also widely known as Île Sainte-Marie, lies just off the east coast of Madagascar. It is long and very narrow, running roughly north to south, parallel to the mainland across a channel. From above, it looks like a thin, slightly bent strip of land. Reefs and lagoons line much of its edge, and a single coastal road follows its western shore.
The main town, Ambodifotatra, sits on the western side of the island, facing the mainland. Nearby is an old cemetery that is widely associated with the pirates who used the island as a base in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. Between roughly July and September, humpback whales come to the channel to breed, and many visitors arrive to watch them.
A Nosy Boraha map poster suits a tall format. It shows the long, narrow outline, with the road tracing the shore and small villages dotted along it. The town forms a slightly denser patch halfway down. At the southern tip, Île aux Nattes sits just offshore, separated by a narrow strip of water.

The island's main town is a compact cluster of streets on the western shore. It is the densest part of the map, set against the channel facing Madagascar.
A small islet sits just off the southern tip, separated by a narrow passage. It finishes the island's long outline with a small, round full stop.

Koteā ko Nosy Boraha
For visitors, Nosy Boraha often means whale season, quiet beaches and a slower pace off Madagascar's coast. Its long, slender shape makes an elegant vertical print. It is a fitting keepsake for a honeymoon, a diving trip or a family connection to the island.
