Northern sand spits
North of the town, long sandy beaches and spits run along the coast toward lagoons. On the map they form a smooth, sweeping line that is unusually long for this part of the Black Sea.

Te mapa
Anapa sits on the northeastern shore of the Black Sea, where the coast of Krasnodar Krai changes character. To the north, long sandy beaches and spits stretch toward lagoons and estuaries. To the south, the land rises into cliffs and forested hills. On a map, the town spreads along the shore between these two landscapes, with a promenade following the curve of the bay.
The town has ancient roots. Greek settlers founded Gorgippia here, and parts of it have been excavated in the town centre. The Russian Gates, a surviving fragment of an Ottoman fortress, recall a later period of conflict over this coast. Today Anapa is best known as a family resort, especially for its shallow, sandy beaches.
An Anapa map poster shows the town's position between two very different coasts. The dense resort grid runs along the water, the beaches extend in a long line to the north, and the higher ground rises to the south. The shoreline is the main subject, and the town reads as a response to it.
North of the town, long sandy beaches and spits run along the coast toward lagoons. On the map they form a smooth, sweeping line that is unusually long for this part of the Black Sea.
Along the bay, a waterfront promenade and parallel streets trace the shore. Behind them the grid is denser, filled with the hotels, sanatoriums and houses of the resort.
South of the town, the coast rises into cliffs and wooded hills. There the street pattern thins out quickly, and the map shows the change from beach resort to rugged coastline.

Koteā ko Anapa
Many people remember Anapa from childhood summers by the sea, and those memories last. A map poster keeps the shape of that coastline at home as a reminder of long beach days and family holidays.
Add a family name, the years of your summers there or the name of a street to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line as you like. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
