Te mapa
Assin Foso is the main town of the Assin area in Ghana's Central Region. It sits on the major road linking Cape Coast on the coast with Kumasi in the interior. On the map, that road runs straight through the town like a spine. Most streets branch off it, and the densest blocks are grouped around the stretch where markets and transport stops cluster.
The country around the town lies in Ghana's forest belt. Away from the centre, the street pattern thins into scattered compounds, farm tracks and patches of green. Small streams and low ridges shape the direction of the side roads, so the grid is loose and irregular, not strictly geometric.
An Assin Foso map poster shows a working roadside town: a strong central route, a busy commercial core and neighbourhoods reaching into the surrounding farmland. It is an honest portrait of the place from above, and a personal one for anyone whose journeys between the coast and Kumasi have taken them through here.
The Cape Coast to Kumasi road runs through the heart of the town. It is the clearest line on the map, and most of the town's growth follows its course.
The busiest blocks are gathered around the centre along the main road. In black and white they form the densest patch of the print, where streets are closest together.
Towards the outskirts, streets give way to tracks and green farmland. The softer, irregular edge shows how the town merges gradually into the surrounding countryside.
