Te mapa
Kumasi is the capital of the Ashanti Region in southern Ghana and the historic seat of the Asante kingdom. The Asantehene, the Asante king, still holds court at the Manhyia Palace in the north of the city. On a map, Kumasi is organised around a central area where the main roads converge, a pattern that reflects its long role as a crossroads for trade.
At the heart of that centre is Kejetia Market, often described as one of the largest markets in West Africa, packed around a major transport hub. From here, arterial roads run out in several directions toward Accra, Takoradi and the north, and the city spreads along them across gently rolling land with patches of green.
Kumasi has long been known as the Garden City for its trees and parks. To the east, the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology forms a large, orderly area of roads and buildings set among green space. A Kumasi map poster captures the radiating roads, the dense core and the greener edges in a single clear composition.
Major routes spread from the centre like the spokes of a wheel, a pattern that makes the city's role as a regional hub immediately visible.
The market and transport area around Kejetia forms the densest part of the map, a tight cluster of streets where the arterial roads meet.
The KNUST campus east of the centre appears as a large, spacious block of curving roads and open ground, distinct from the dense neighbourhoods around it.

Koteā ko Kumasi
Kumasi carries a strong sense of identity for Asante families and for anyone who studied at KNUST or grew up in the city. A map of its converging roads is a fitting reminder, whether it hangs at home in Ghana or abroad.
