Te mapa
Awoshi is a residential area on the western side of Greater Accra, Ghana. It forms part of the growing ring of neighbourhoods that surrounds the capital, where housing has spread steadily outward over recent decades. From above, it shows a fine network of streets and plots filling the land between main roads.
The area has the character of an established suburb that is still growing: older lanes near the main routes, newer streets further out, and a mix of homes, small businesses and churches throughout. The pattern is less regular than a planned grid, following plot boundaries and the gentle slope of the terrain.
An Awoshi map poster shows a neighbourhood as it actually lives, dense in places, looser at the edges, stitched together by a few important roads. In black and white, the many small streets form a rich, detailed texture. It is a map for people who know the area closely and recognise its turns and junctions.
Key routes connect Awoshi to central Accra and neighbouring districts, giving the map strong lines that organise the surrounding residential streets.
A close network of lanes and plots fills the area, producing a detailed, textured pattern that stands out in fine black lines.
Toward the outer parts of the district the street pattern becomes looser, showing where the city continues to expand into new land.
