Te mapa
Az̧ Z̧ulayl sits in Zarqa Governorate, on the dry upland plateau that runs from the Amman–Zarqa conurbation toward the eastern steppe. From above it doesn't read as a dense core. It reads as a loose field of residential blocks spread along main roads, with open land still showing between the neighbourhoods.
The street pattern follows what the land allows. Straight arterial roads carry most of the traffic, and short side streets branch off them into small clusters of houses. Wadis and field boundaries leave faint marks at the edges of the built area. Printed in black and white, these marks give the map a spare, almost diagrammatic look that suits the landscape.
An Az̧ Z̧ulayl map poster makes sense for someone who grew up here, worked in the wider Zarqa area or has family on these streets. It shows a place that rarely turns up in atlases, drawn at the scale of daily life: the road to school, the turn toward the market and the route out toward the next town.
A few long, straight roads carry the town's structure. On the poster they read as the strongest lines, and the smaller residential streets hang off them like branches.
Where the houses thin out, the map opens into blank ground and faint tracks. The empty space around the town is as much part of the composition as the streets.
Residential blocks gather in distinct pockets rather than one continuous grid, so the town looks like a set of linked quarters when seen from above.

Koteā ko Az̧ Z̧ulayl
This is a map for people with a personal tie to the town, not for tourists. It's a way to keep an unassuming place on the wall, drawn with the same care usually given to capitals.
You can change the title and subtitle, add a date or the coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files cover six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
