Te mapa
Baidoa is the main town of the Bay region in south-central Somalia, set inland on a plateau of farmland between the Juba and Shabelle river basins. From above, its streets form a loose, mostly low-rise pattern, with main roads leading out in several directions toward other towns and the surrounding agricultural land.
The Bay region is one of Somalia's key farming areas, known for crops such as sorghum, and Baidoa has long served as a market and administrative centre. The town has also played an important role in the country's recent political history as a regional seat of government.
A Baidoa map poster presents the town simply: a central cluster of streets, the roads reaching out across open land and the edges where settlement gives way to fields. It is a quiet, respectful map for those with a personal connection to the town.
Main roads leave the town in several directions, giving the poster a star-like structure that shows Baidoa's role as a crossroads for the region.
The densest cluster of streets marks the heart of the town, where trade and daily life are concentrated among closely spaced blocks.
Open land around the town frames the built-up area, reflecting the agricultural plateau of the Bay region on which Baidoa depends.

Koteā ko Baidoa
For Somali families at home and in the diaspora, a map of Baidoa is a way to keep a sense of place close. The simple layout leaves plenty of space for a meaningful title.
Add a family name, a year or the town's coordinates to the title and subtitle, then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
