Te mapa
Ban Na San is a district town in Surat Thani province, in the upper part of southern Thailand. Its centre is small and practical, a handful of streets around the market and local offices, with houses strung along the roads that lead out of town. On a map it looks less like a block than a cluster of branches, each one following a route into the countryside.
The land around it is worked intensively. Rubber and oil palm plantations and fruit orchards fill the lowlands, and their tracks and property lines give the outer map a fine, irregular grain. Toward the south and west the terrain rises into forested hills, where roads narrow and wind. A Ban Na San map poster captures that gradient from settled valley to quieter upland.
Surat Thani is known for its fruit, rambutan especially, and orchards like these are part of what defines this district. Small streams run through the farmland toward larger rivers, adding soft curving lines. In black and white the town becomes a modest, well-rooted composition, typical of the south yet specific in its shape.
A short run of streets around the market forms the town's core, a compact node where the main roads meet before separating again toward outlying villages.
Plantations and fruit orchards surround the town. Their tracks and boundaries create a dense, uneven texture across much of the map area.
Toward the hills the roads begin to twist and thin out, drawing lighter, looser lines that balance the busier lowland pattern.

This map is for people from Ban Na San or with family in the district, and for anyone who spent time among its orchards and hills. It hangs well in a living room or office and gives a small town the same weight usually kept for capitals.
