Te mapa
Baradero lies in the north of Buenos Aires Province, on the Baradero River, one of the arms of the Paraná that wind along the edge of the delta. It counts among the oldest towns in the province, with origins in the early seventeenth century. On the map, a classic Argentine grid of square blocks runs up to the riverbank and then stops abruptly.
In the mid-nineteenth century Baradero received Swiss settlers who founded one of the early agricultural colonies in Argentina, and farming has shaped the surrounding countryside ever since. Beyond the river, the map changes completely: islands, channels and wetlands of the Paraná Delta fill the landscape with irregular shapes.
A Baradero map poster shows these two worlds side by side, the orderly grid of the town and the winding waterways of the delta. It is a quiet, balanced composition, meaningful for anyone who grew up here, spends weekends by the river or has family roots in this part of the province.
The town is laid out in regular square blocks around its central plaza, forming a precise geometric pattern typical of Argentine towns.
The river runs along the town's edge as part of the Paraná system, giving the map a clear natural boundary and access to the water.
Across the river, the map fills with islands, channels and wetlands of the delta, a rich, irregular texture that contrasts with the grid.
