Te mapa
Batāla stands on the flat plains of the Majha region in Punjab, northeast of Amritsar. On a map there is little relief to interrupt the town: its shape comes from roads converging on an older, tightly packed centre, with newer neighbourhoods and industrial areas spreading outward toward the surrounding fields. The railway line passes along one side, adding another strong straight element.
The town holds an important place in Sikh history. It is associated with the wedding of Guru Nanak, marked by gurdwaras in the town that draw many visitors on the anniversary. Batāla is also known for its long-established engineering and foundry industry, which produced machinery and tools used across the region, and which shows on the map as larger industrial blocks.
A Batāla map poster shows the fine, irregular lanes of the old core against the more regular pattern of later development and the open agricultural land beyond. It is an understated composition, which suits a town known more for history and work than for monuments, and it makes a meaningful gift for families with roots here.
The historic centre forms a dense knot of narrow, irregular lanes, visibly finer than the surrounding districts and the natural focal point of the map.
Main roads from Amritsar, Gurdaspur and other towns meet at Batāla, radiating outward across the plain like spokes from the central district.
Larger blocks on the town's edges reflect its engineering and foundry tradition, contrasting with the small plots of the older residential streets.

Koteā ko Batāla
For families from Batāla now living elsewhere in India or abroad, this map is a clear, respectful picture of home. It also suits anyone connected to the town's religious significance, as a quiet reminder rather than a souvenir.
You can write the title, subtitle and coordinates in your own way, perhaps adding a family name or date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, then download or order a matte print.
