Te mapa
Beled Hawo is a town in the Gedo region of southwestern Somalia, sitting directly on the border with Kenya, opposite the Kenyan town of Mandera. The Ethiopian frontier lies a short distance to the north, so this is one of the corners where three countries come close together. On the map the town is a compact cluster of streets set in wide, open country.
The street pattern is simple and fairly regular, with blocks of low buildings arranged around a few main roads. The border is not a physical barrier along much of its length, and from above Beled Hawo and Mandera read almost like neighbouring districts. The surrounding land is semi-arid, so the built area stands out clearly against the empty space around it.
Like much of Gedo, the area depends on livestock and cross-border trade, and it has experienced displacement during Somalia's long years of conflict. A Beled Hawo map poster offers a calm, respectful view of the place: a small grid of streets, the roads leading out toward the rest of the region, and the quiet landscape surrounding them.
The town faces Mandera across the Kenyan border, and the two settlements sit so close together that their street patterns almost touch on the map.
Short, mostly straight streets form a small, legible grid, giving the poster a clean centre with little visual clutter.
Around the town the map is largely empty, reflecting the semi-arid plain and letting the settlement stand out as a sharp, self-contained shape.

Koteā ko Beled Hawo
Many people from Gedo live far from home, in Nairobi, Minneapolis, London or elsewhere. A map of Beled Hawo is a simple way to keep the town in view, especially for families separated by long distances, and it gives a small place the same care as a capital city.
You can write the title in Somali or English, add a subtitle and keep or change the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download HD files in six print sizes for $9, ready for any print shop.
