Te mapa
Biu is a town in southern Borno State in northeastern Nigeria, on the Biu Plateau. The plateau is an upland area of volcanic origin, and its landscape includes old volcanic cones and lava fields. From above, the town forms a compact settlement with a network of streets around its centre and main roads leading out across the higher ground.
Biu is the traditional centre of the Bura (Babur) people and the seat of an emirate. It serves as a market and administrative centre for the surrounding area, and roads connect it with Maiduguri to the north and with towns in neighbouring Adamawa and Gombe states.
A Biu map poster presents the town as a clear, concentrated shape. The central streets form a dense core, the main roads cross the frame in long lines, and the open plateau around the town fills much of the space. The result is a balanced, uncluttered print with a strong sense of place.
The town sits on raised volcanic ground, a distinct upland area in the region that surrounds the settlement with open, rolling land.
The densest streets gather around the market and the emir's palace area, forming the darkest and most detailed part of the map.
Long roads lead out toward Maiduguri and neighbouring states, drawing straight lines across the plateau from the town centre.

Biu matters to the Bura community and to many families in Borno and beyond. A map of the town is a calm and personal way to mark where one comes from.
