Bowmanville is the largest community in the Municipality of Clarington, Ontario, east of Toronto along the north shore of Lake Ontario. From above, its historic downtown sits along King Street, with a grid of older residential streets around it. Newer subdivisions extend north and west, and Highway 401 runs along the south side, between the town and the lakeshore.
Bowmanville Creek and its tributaries cut green valleys through the town, giving the map natural corridors of parkland. The community has grown quickly as part of the Greater Toronto Area's eastward expansion. Its surroundings are also home to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park to the north and the Darlington nuclear station on the lakeshore.
A Bowmanville map poster brings these layers together: the older grid along King Street, the curving streets of newer neighbourhoods, the creek valleys as soft white bands, and the long line of the highway. Framed wider, the Lake Ontario shoreline adds a clean edge along the bottom of the composition.
The historic main street runs east–west through the heart of town. It is lined with older buildings and forms the backbone of the original street grid.
Bowmanville Creek and its branches run through wooded valleys. On the map, these corridors appear as winding breaks of green between neighbourhoods.
The highway runs along the south side of town, between Bowmanville and the lake. It forms a strong horizontal line across the frame.

Koteā ko Bowmanville
Many families have moved to Bowmanville for more space within reach of Toronto, while others have lived there for generations. A map poster of the town marks either story, and it works well as a housewarming gift.
Add a title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and include the date you moved in. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint pairs well with the creek valleys and lakeshore.
