Scattered lakes
Irregular bodies of water appear across the district, typical of the Jianghan plain. They break up the street pattern and give the poster large, calm shapes.

Te mapa
Caidian is a district on the western side of Wuhan, in the middle Yangtze basin of Hubei. The land is low and wet, and the map shows it clearly: lakes, ponds and channels are scattered across the district, with the Han River to the north. The old town centre is a small, dense cluster, and newer development spreads out on broad planned roads.
Across the district, large rectangular blocks mark recent industrial and residential development, including the extensive development zone that has grown as Wuhan expands westward. Between them, irregular lakes and old field patterns survive. The contrast between new geometry and older water-shaped land gives Caidian a layered, changing look from above.
A Caidian map poster captures a place in transition, halfway between city and plain. In black and white the lakes become bold, pale shapes set among dense blocks, and the wide arterial roads draw long lines toward central Wuhan. It works well for anyone who has lived or worked on this side of the city.
Irregular bodies of water appear across the district, typical of the Jianghan plain. They break up the street pattern and give the poster large, calm shapes.
Wide planned roads enclose large rectangular blocks of recent development. Their geometry contrasts sharply with the older, organic parts of the map.
The Han River runs along the northern side of the area. Its long curve helps place Caidian within the wider river system of Wuhan.
