Te mapa
Huanggang lies on the north bank of the Yangtze in eastern Hubei, downstream from Wuhan. On the map the river is the dominant feature, a wide band running along the southern edge of the city, with Ezhou on the opposite bank. Bridges cross it and connect the two cities more closely every year.
The historic centre is Huangzhou, where the poet and statesman Su Shi was sent into exile in the eleventh century. There he wrote his two Red Cliff odes and took the name Dongpo. The Dongpo Red Cliff, a rust-coloured bluff by the old riverbank, is still the city's best known landmark.
A Huanggang map poster shows the newer districts spreading north and east from the old core, with regular modern blocks and wide roads. Lakes, ponds and channels are scattered between them, typical of the low wet plain along the middle Yangtze.
The broad river runs along the city's southern edge. On the poster it is a heavy, clean band that anchors the whole composition and separates Huanggang from Ezhou.
A small historic site in the old district, connected to Su Shi and his Red Cliff poems. It is a modest feature on the map but very important to the city's identity.
Water bodies of many sizes appear between the new districts. They give the plain a pattern of soft shapes, crossed by straight modern roads.

Koteā ko Huanggang
Huanggang is a hometown for many people who now work in Wuhan, Shanghai or further away. A clean map of the river and streets is a simple way to keep a sense of home on the wall.
Add a family name, a school or a year to the title, and set the coordinates to a house or village. Classic black & white and Noir both show the Yangtze with strong contrast.
