Te mapa
Camaquã lies in the southern half of Rio Grande do Sul, on the flat country west of Lagoa dos Patos, the huge coastal lagoon that dominates the state's map. The town has a fairly regular core, with blocks laid out in a grid, and it thins into looser streets and farm roads as you move out. The BR-116 highway passes nearby, a long straight line through the landscape.
The Camaquã River, which gives the municipality its name, winds across the lowlands to the south and eventually flows into the lagoon. Its loops and the wetlands beside it contrast with the rigid street grid. Further out, the map is mostly rice paddies and pasture, divided by drainage channels and field roads that form long rectangles.
This is agricultural country, and rice has long been central to the local economy. A Camaquã map poster shows how a small grid town sits within a large, flat, watery landscape: straight streets in the middle, a meandering river beside them, and a lagoon shoreline on the horizon for anyone who widens the frame.
The centre is laid out in regular rectangular blocks, a Brazilian pattern that gives the middle of the poster an even, orderly texture.
The river loops through the lowlands to the south on its way to Lagoa dos Patos. Its curves are the main organic line on the map.
Around the town, straight field roads and drainage channels divide the flat land into long rectangles. On paper this reads almost like graph paper.

Koteā ko Camaquã
Camaquã is the kind of place people carry with them after they move to Porto Alegre or further away. Its grid and river are simple enough to recognise at a glance, which suits a poster on a hallway or office wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so you can add a family name, a date or a note. Then pick one of five styles, from Classic black and white to warmer Sand or technical Blueprint.
