Te mapa
Cherepovets lies in Vologda Oblast on the Sheksna River, close to where it flows into the Rybinsk Reservoir. The map is shaped by water. The broad Sheksna runs along one side of the city, and the smaller Yagorba cuts through it and divides the older centre from the districts beyond. Wide avenues and large Soviet residential blocks fill the land between them.
The city is dominated by its steelworks, one of the largest in Russia, which spreads across a huge industrial zone to the east. A Cherepovets map poster shows how the plant and the city grew side by side. The industrial sites, rail sidings and long avenues all follow the rivers.
The Oktyabrsky Bridge, a cable-stayed crossing of the Sheksna opened in 1979, links the city to the far bank. The painter Vasily Vereshchagin was born here, and his house is now a museum. The historic centre still keeps its older, finer street pattern among the later Soviet blocks.
The wide Sheksna and its tributary meet within the city. The two rivers give the map its main natural structure and split the districts apart.
The steelworks and its rail yards cover a vast area to the east. Their rectangular shapes and rail lines form a dense geometric block on the map.
The cable-stayed bridge carries traffic across the Sheksna. It is a single strong line that connects the city with the opposite bank.

Koteā ko Cherepovets
For steelworkers, engineers and families who spent decades in Cherepovets, the map of its rivers and avenues is a record of real working lives. It makes a thoughtful gift for someone who has moved away or a relative marking a milestone.
You can set your own title and subtitle, in Latin or Cyrillic script, add a date and put a specific address in the coordinates line. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the industrial character of the city.
