Te mapa
Curralinho is in the Marajó region of Pará, on the southern side of the vast delta where the Amazon and the Pará River meet the Atlantic. The town sits at the water's edge. From above, a modest grid of streets begins at the riverfront and gives way quickly to forest and wetland.
Water shapes almost everything here. Wide rivers and a web of smaller channels, known locally as furos and igarapés, divide the land into islands and strips. Boats have long been the main way to travel between communities, and on a map the waterways carry more weight than the roads.
A Curralinho map poster presents the town as a small, orderly patch of streets surrounded by broad, flowing shapes. The shoreline and branching channels make most of the composition. In black and white this becomes an almost abstract study of land and water, with the town held at the river's edge.
The town is drawn against open water. Streets run down to the shore, where boat traffic has always tied the community to the rest of the region.
Narrow channels cut through the surrounding land in irregular lines. They form a delicate, root-like pattern that fills the outer parts of the map.
The urban area is compact and fairly regular. Its short blocks form a clear, ordered shape in contrast to the irregular water around it.

Koteā ko Curralinho
Anyone with roots in Marajó knows the rivers are the real roads, and this poster shows the place that way. It works as a reminder of home for families who have moved to Belém or further away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or an important date, and pick from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
