Te mapa
Santana lies just south of the equator, next to Macapá, on the northern bank of the Amazon's main channel. The river is so wide here that the far bank is often off the edge of the map. That gives the city a waterfront on one side and open blank space beyond. Santana's streets run inland from the shore in a fairly regular pattern, then break up among streams and low wetlands.
The port is the reason the town exists in its current form. For decades Santana was the river end of the Amapá railway, built to bring manganese down from Serra do Navio for export. The waterfront still shows long quays and industrial land, and the town sits in the space between the port and the neighbouring capital.
A Santana map poster shows a place defined by one enormous body of water and one straight line of latitude. The river takes up much of the frame, and the grid of the town fills the edge of the land. It is an unusual composition, calm and wide, with the Amazon doing most of the work.
The northern channel of the Amazon runs along the southern edge of the city and fills a large part of the frame with open water.
Docks and industrial land line the riverbank, where the Amapá railway once ended. They form a firm, practical edge where the town meets the water.
Small creeks and low wetland areas cut into the street grid. They break the regular blocks into irregular pieces toward the edges of town.

Koteā ko Santana
A map of a town on the equator beside the Amazon has an obvious appeal, and families from Amapá often want a piece of home on the wall. The coordinates line can show latitude near zero, and the title can carry a name or a date.
Blueprint and Noir make the river shine as a big open field. Classic black and white, Paper and Sand are also available. Printed posters on matte paper, framed or unframed, are made by print partners in more than 30 countries.
