Dārwha is a town in Yavatmal district, in the Vidarbha region of eastern Maharashtra. On a map it appears as a dense, compact centre: narrow lanes packed closely together around the main roads, with lower-density neighbourhoods spreading outward along them. Beyond the edge of town there is very little development, and the landscape opens into cultivated fields.
The surrounding region is known for farming, especially cotton, and Dārwha serves as a local centre for the villages around it. That role shows in the way roads come into town from several directions and meet near the middle, turning the place into a small hub on the open plateau.
