Te mapa
Davorlim is in the Salcete area of South Goa, on the fringe of Margao, the region's main town. From above, it shows how Goa's urban edge blends into the countryside. There are clusters of housing along winding roads, newer residential developments at the edges, and large patches of green where fields, trees and low hills remain. The pattern is looser and more irregular than the dense grid of a town centre.
Like much of Salcete, the area mixes suburban life with a rural past. Its closeness to Margao means easy access to markets, schools and the railway, but lanes still run between houses set in gardens, and the landscape changes with the monsoon, when the low ground turns green and wet.
A Davorlim map poster captures that in-between character: roads that curve instead of meeting at right angles, patches of dense housing surrounded by open space, and the edge of a larger town just visible at the side. It is a gentle, understated composition suited to a calm interior.
The main roads curve through the area, following the older paths between villages. They give the map a relaxed, organic line pattern.
Fields, trees and low ground leave open spaces between the housing clusters. They create generous negative space across the poster.
The denser street network of Margao appears nearby, a contrast that shows exactly where the town ends and the countryside begins.
