Te mapa
DeLand is the county seat of Volusia County, Florida, a short distance inland from the Atlantic coast and east of the St. Johns River. The town was founded in the 1870s by Henry DeLand, and the street grid follows its early plan. Woodland Boulevard runs north to south as the main axis, and the historic downtown sits along it.
Stetson University, founded in 1883 and the oldest private university in Florida, lies just north of downtown. On the map, the campus shows as a block of green quads and buildings next to the business district. Around them, residential streets extend in an even grid that gradually loosens toward the edges, with lakes and wooded land appearing between neighbourhoods.
A DeLand map poster shows a small American town organised around a main street and a campus. The boulevard gives the composition a strong vertical spine, the university adds an open, irregular shape, and the neighbourhoods fill the rest. It suits Stetson alumni as well as long-time residents.
The town's main street runs north to south through the historic downtown and forms the central spine of the whole street plan.
The grounds of Florida's oldest private university sit just north of downtown and show as open quads and buildings among the regular town blocks.
Toward the outskirts, the street grid breaks up around small lakes and wooded areas, typical of inland Central Florida.

Koteā ko DeLand
DeLand is where many people spent their college years at Stetson, and where others chose to settle for its walkable downtown. A map of the town brings back the boulevard and campus paths in a calm, graphic form.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a graduation year or the address of a first home, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
