Te mapa
Delmas is one of the communes of the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area, lying between the capital's lower districts and the hills that rise toward Pétion-Ville. On the map, it is a closely packed urban area in which small blocks and short lanes fill almost every available space.
Its best-known feature is the long Route de Delmas, which runs uphill through the commune. The side streets branching off it are numbered as Delmas plus a figure, a system every local uses for directions. From above, that gives a clear spine with a comb of streets on either side, spreading into the tighter, irregular lanes further from the main road.
Delmas is mostly residential and commercial, closely tied to the rest of the capital region. A Delmas map poster shows that structure clearly: one strong axis, a rhythm of cross streets, and the slope of the land visible in the way the neighbourhoods tighten and bend toward the hills.
The main road runs uphill through the commune and acts as its spine, the line almost every other street connects back to.
Cross streets are known by number, from Delmas 1 upward, forming a regular series of branches along the main road that locals use as an address system.
Toward the hills, the streets bend and narrow as the land climbs, a clear change from the more regular blocks nearer the plain.

Koteā ko Delmas
For Haitians at home or abroad, Delmas is often where family, school and daily life happened. A map of its streets is a quiet way to keep that close, and every numbered street along the main road carries meaning.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so you can mark a particular Delmas number or a family date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
