Dibate Map Poster & Print
Dibate is the centre of a woreda of the same name in the Metekel zone of Benishangul-Gumuz, in western Ethiopia. The region lies below the central highlands, and the land here is lower, warmer and more wooded. From above, the town is a small grid-like core with straight roads on the edges and a lot of open land around it.
The map is spare. A main road passes through and the town grew along it, with side streets laid out more regularly than in older highland towns. Paths lead out to farms and villages, and seasonal streams leave faint marks across the landscape.
