Te mapa
Dimāpur is the largest city in Nagaland and its commercial gateway. It sits on level ground where the plains of Assam meet the first ridges of the Naga hills, and that position explains its map. Most of the state is folded terrain with roads clinging to slopes, but Dimāpur spreads out in a broad, fairly even web of streets, markets and residential colonies.
Transport shapes the drawing. The railway line cuts through the city, the national highway towards Kohima heads off into the hills, and the airport, the only one serving Nagaland, sits on the edge of town. The Dhansiri River meanders along the western side. In the city itself, the ruins of the medieval Kachari kingdom survive as a group of carved stone pillars.
A Dimāpur map poster shows a city built for movement: straight lines of rail and road, dense clusters of market lanes, and the first contours of hill country waiting at the edge. It makes a thoughtful piece for anyone from Nagaland who passed through here on the way home, or for those who grew up among its streets.

Dimāpur is Nagaland's main railhead. The tracks and the highway towards Kohima form the long straight strokes that organise the whole composition.
East of the city the flat grid starts to break against rising ground, a subtle shift from ordered streets to winding roads that the poster records.

Koteā ko Dimāpur
For many people Dimāpur is where journeys into Nagaland begin, and a map of it carries that sense of arrival. Add a title in your own words, a date that matters or the coordinates of a family home, and the print becomes a personal marker rather than a generic city view.
Five styles are available, from Classic black & white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Take the $9 digital download with six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, or order a matte printed poster, framed in wood if you like.
