Te mapa
Dīnānagar lies in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, on the flat, fertile plain between Amritsar and Pathankot. From above the town is a dense cluster of lanes around its markets, surrounded by wide square fields. Irrigation channels and village roads divide the farmland, and the railway runs straight through the landscape.
The town has a notable place in Sikh history. It was founded in the eighteenth century by Adina Beg and later became a favoured summer residence of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who held court here during the warm months. Its location near the foothills and on the road north made it a practical seat for the Sikh Empire.
A Dīnānagar map poster shows that concentrated core within the regular pattern of the Punjab plain. The old lanes form a tight, irregular knot, while the fields around them are ordered and open. The contrast between the two textures gives the print its character and ties the town to the farming region around it.
Narrow lanes cluster tightly in the centre, forming an irregular web that stands out clearly against the regular pattern of the surrounding countryside.
The railway runs straight through the district and gives the map a single, firm line connecting the town to the wider Punjab network.
Channels and village roads divide the flat farmland into broad rectangular plots, a characteristic pattern of the agricultural Punjab plain.

This map suits families from Dīnānagar and Gurdaspur, including those now living abroad, and anyone interested in the history of Ranjit Singh's court. It works as a strong, simple reminder of home and ancestry.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or a special date, and edit the coordinates line if you wish. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the warm tones of the Punjab plain.
