Te mapa
Dongxing sits at the far southwestern end of China's coastline in Guangxi, on the north bank of the Beilun River. Directly across the water is the Vietnamese city of Móng Cái, and the river forms the international border. Just downstream, it opens into the Gulf of Tonkin, so the map combines river, estuary and sea.
The city grew quickly as a trading and crossing point, and bridges over the Beilun carry people and goods between the two countries. Its streets are densest near the river crossing, spreading north and east in newer, broader blocks, with the Jiangping area and coastal flats toward the sea.
A Dongxing map poster draws a line that is both geographic and political: two cities mirrored across a narrow river. It is a striking composition for anyone who has worked, traded or travelled through this crossing.
The river curves along the southern edge of the city and marks the boundary with Vietnam, splitting the poster into two facing urban areas.
Crossings over the Beilun link Dongxing with Móng Cái, short lines on the map that carry much of the daily trade between the two countries.
To the south the river widens into an estuary and meets the sea, adding a soft coastline of tidal flats and inlets to the composition.

Koteā ko Dongxing
Border cities make memorable maps because they show two places at once. Dongxing suits people with business or family on either side of the river, or travellers who crossed here between China and Vietnam.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the river line a particularly dramatic edge.
