Te mapa
Móng Cái sits at the far north-eastern tip of mainland Vietnam. On the map it is defined by water on two sides. The Ka Long river marks the border with China, and across it lies the Chinese city of Dongxing. To the south the land breaks into estuaries, islands and shallow coast along the Gulf of Tonkin.
As a border crossing, the city has long lived on trade, and its markets and border gate draw traders and visitors from both countries. Its best-known stretch of coast is Trà Cổ, a long sandy beach on a peninsula south of the city, often described as the northernmost beach in Vietnam.
A Móng Cái map poster shows a city squeezed between river, border and sea. The central streets form a compact grid close to the Ka Long, and roads lead south toward the coast. There, the outline of the land becomes irregular and fragmented, with channels and inlets cutting into it and giving the print a lot of texture.
The border river curves along the northern edge of the city, with Dongxing on the opposite bank. It draws a clear line between two countries on the map.
South of the centre, a long, narrow strip of land holds Trà Cổ beach. Its smooth sandy coastline stands out against the broken inlets around it.
Between the city and the sea the land splits into channels, mudflats and small islands, which gives the southern half of the map a detailed, lace-like edge.

Koteā ko Móng Cái
For people from Quảng Ninh, or anyone who has crossed the border here or spent a summer at Trà Cổ, this map captures the city's unusual position. Its mix of grid and coastline works well in a large format.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, and names with Vietnamese diacritics are fine. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
