Te mapa
Duliajan is a town in Dibrugarh district in Upper Assam, and it is best known as the headquarters of Oil India Limited. The company township gives it a character unlike most towns in the region: planned residential sectors, wide roads, open grounds and industrial sites laid out with a deliberate order.
From above, the planned township sits alongside older, more organic settlement and is framed by the green of tea estates and forest patches typical of this corner of India. Oil installations, rail sidings and service roads extend around the town, marking it clearly as a centre of the Assam oil industry.
A Duliajan map poster captures that dual identity. The ordered geometry of the township stands out against the looser weave of village roads and plantation tracks, while industrial areas add dense, angular shapes. In black and white, the town becomes a record of how industry, planning and the Assam landscape came together in one place.
The Oil India residential area is laid out in regular sectors with broad roads and open grounds, giving the map a distinctive, orderly central section.
Oil installations and service areas around the town appear as dense, angular clusters, a clear sign of the industry that brought Duliajan into being.
Beyond the town, tea gardens and green patches spread across the flat land of Upper Assam, cut by rural roads that connect the settlement to its surroundings.
