Te mapa
Dzyarzhynsk lies south-west of Minsk, on the rolling ground of the Minsk Upland. Historically the town was known as Koidanava, and it took its current name in the Soviet period. On a map it forms a compact centre of streets and blocks, with residential districts, streams and farmland extending outward into the gentle hills around it.
A short distance from the town rises Dzyarzhynskaya Hara, the highest point in Belarus at 345 metres. The land around it is not dramatic, but it is noticeably more varied than the flat plains of much of the country, and the map shows roads curving gently with the terrain between fields, woods and villages.
A Dzyarzhynsk map poster shows a small town with a clear centre, its streets spreading into countryside laid out in long fields and straight roads. It is an understated image of central Belarus, suited to anyone with roots in the Minsk region or a fondness for quiet provincial landscapes seen from above.
Dzyarzhynskaya Hara, the highest hill in Belarus at 345 metres, rises a short distance from the town, amid fields and woodland.
Streets and blocks gather tightly in the old core, then open into residential districts with a more regular, planned layout.
Long fields, woods and straight rural roads surround the town, their pattern softened slightly by the rolling terrain of the Minsk Upland.
