Te mapa
Easter Island, Rapa Nui to its people, is one of the most remote inhabited islands on Earth, a Chilean territory more than 3,500 kilometres from the South American mainland. Its outline is an almost perfect triangle, and each point is a volcano: Rano Kau in the southwest, Poike in the east and Terevaka, the highest, in the north. Between them lies open, gently rolling land.
An Easter Island map poster is sparse by nature. Hanga Roa, the only town, gathers a short grid of streets on the west coast, and the long runway of Mataveri airport cuts across the land just south of it toward Rano Kau. Beyond the town a handful of roads follow the coast and cross the interior, leaving wide spaces that make the island's shape unusually legible.
The island is known worldwide for its moai, the monolithic figures carved mostly at the quarry of Rano Raraku and set on stone platforms along the coast. Much of the island is protected as Rapa Nui National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater lake inside Rano Kau appears as a near-perfect circle at the southwestern tip, one of the most distinctive details on the map.
At the southwestern corner the volcano's caldera holds a reed-covered lake, drawn as a clean ring on the poster. The cliffs of its outer rim drop straight to the ocean.
The island's only town is a loose grid of low streets on the western shore, with a small harbour and the airport runway at its southern edge. Nearly all residents live here.
The eastern point is an older volcanic block with steep coasts, joined to the rest of the island by a plain where Rano Raraku and the coastal platform of Ahu Tongariki stand.

Koteā ko Easter Island
Easter Island is a once-in-a-lifetime journey for most visitors, and a map is a quiet way to keep it. The triangle is instantly recognisable, and the empty land between the volcanoes gives the poster a calm, spacious layout that suits a study or hallway.
Add a title such as Rapa Nui, a subtitle with your travel date and your own coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the layout before buying the files or a print.
