Te mapa
Enid lies on the flat prairie of northern Oklahoma and was founded in 1893, when the Cherokee Outlet was opened to settlers in a land run. The town was laid out almost overnight, and on a map that origin is plain: a regular grid of streets around a central square, spreading evenly in every direction across level land.
Railways cross the grid in long straight lines, and alongside them stand some of the largest grain storage facilities in the country, which earned Enid the nickname Queen Wheat City. On the map these appear as heavy blocks near the tracks, a reminder that the city grew from wheat and rail.
South of town, Vance Air Force Base adds long runways to the plan, broad geometric shapes against the grid and the farmland. An Enid map poster shows a prairie city built with remarkable order, its straight streets extending to the edges of the frame like lines on graph paper.
The downtown square, laid out when the town was founded in 1893, sits at the heart of the grid and remains its most recognisable point.
Massive grain storage facilities line the rail corridors, appearing as dense, blocky shapes that reflect Enid's long role as a wheat-shipping centre.
South of the city, the runways of Vance Air Force Base form long parallel lines, a strong geometric feature set apart from the street grid.

Koteā ko Enid
Enid is home to generations of farming families and to many who trained at Vance. Its grid is calm and orderly, a good fit for a modern interior, and a thoughtful gift for someone who was stationed there or grew up nearby.
Add a date, perhaps a graduation or posting, and a subtitle with a neighborhood or a unit. Blueprint suits the grid well. Sizes include 18×24″ and 24×36″, and printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries.
