Eastern cliffs
The east coast is a nearly unbroken wall of cliff. The map therefore shows a clean, almost straight edge along that side, with no roads reaching the shore.

Te mapa
ʻEua lies a short hop southeast of Tongatapu and is one of the oldest islands in Tonga. It was raised from the sea rather than built up as a low coral atoll. On a map it stretches from north to south. A ridge runs close to the eastern coast, where the land drops to the Pacific in high limestone cliffs.
The western side slopes more gently, and that is where the roads and villages are. The main settlement, ʻOhonua, sits on the west coast near the wharf. From there a road runs up the island, linking a string of villages and plantations, and the airstrip forms a straight mark among the fields.
The eastern ridge holds ʻEua National Park, with rainforest, caves and lookouts over the cliffs. Humpback whales pass offshore in the southern winter. An ʻEua map poster captures this lopsided island in a single image: settled lowland on one side, forest and cliff on the other, and ocean all around.
The east coast is a nearly unbroken wall of cliff. The map therefore shows a clean, almost straight edge along that side, with no roads reaching the shore.
Forest along the eastern ridge is protected as ʻEua National Park. This long band of unbuilt land appears on the map as an empty strip between the road and the sea.
The island's main road follows the gentler western side from ʻOhonua. It ties villages and farmland together in one long line running from north to south.

Koteā ko ʻEua
Visitors come for the hiking and the whales, and many Tongan families have ties to the island's villages. The contrast between the settled western side and the wild east gives the print a quiet tension that works in a living room or an office.
Write your village, a family name or a travel date in the title, adjust the subtitle, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files come in six sizes, each as a PNG and a print-ready PDF.
