Fusō Map Poster & Print
Fusō lies in northern Aichi Prefecture, on the flat Nōbi Plain north of Nagoya. Its northern side faces the Kiso River, one of central Japan's major rivers, which separates Aichi from Gifu. From above, the town is a fine-grained mix of housing, small fields and orchards, crossed by rail and road.
The pattern is typical of Japan's suburban plains. There is no single dense core. Instead, clusters of streets are laid out on slightly different grids, with farmland and irrigation channels in between. The railway line toward Inuyama crosses the town, and its stations become small focal points. The wide river with its embankments and sandbars defines the northern edge.
